With that in mind I thought I would grab my sandals and hit the shops (always a chore!!) and see what little slices of spring-ey heaven I could bag myself for under a fiver. And boy did I succeed.....spring I have got you totally in the bag!!
You all know I love my premium beauty more than life and if I could live wearing only Chanel For the rest of my life I would but alas Kim Kardashian I am not so I, like many of you, need to find cheaper alternatives. So here you go dreamers and you are welcome.....
1) Schwarzkopf Mermaid Look Texturising Salt Spray - £4.19
I've been using this for a while now on the warmer days when I can't be bothered to dry my hair with a hair dryer. It doesn't make your hair crispy and brushes out easily. If you want the full on 'mermaid look' I would recommend apply this to wet hair and plaiting it for a while. Voila!!!....bondi beach bombshell locks in no time!
2) Fenjal Vitality Revitalising Body Wash - £3.15
I have never really bought anything from the Fenjal range but this body wash is a really great find. I know it sounds weird but it is like the smell of spring/summer in a bottle. It's absolutely gorgeous and leaves you smelling beautiful all day. It says it's uplifting care for maturing skin....I don't care if that puts me in the granny category I loooooove this smell!
3) No.4711 Refreshing Tissues - £2.19
I always start to carry around some wet wipes at this time of year. You never know when an impromptu bbq will be arranged and it will always be when you've been out since 8am running around the park with the kids and doing your shopping! These are a little different as they are individually wrapped so you can take as many as you like, pop them in your bag and be confident in any situation that is thrown at you. I chose these because I thought the packaging was quite quirky. Also because they are described as cologne I thought they would have a masculine kind of smell and if you, like me, would rather reach for your partners deod than your own pretty little body spray then these are perfect for you.
4) Collection Intense Colour Supersoft Khol Liner in French Kiss - £1.99
This liner really caught my eye as soon as I saw it. It's a really interesting colour and perfect for creating a look that's a little bit different! You can see from the way I have done my eyes in the pic above that it's s really striking colour and blends out really nicely too!
5) Collection Work The Colour Nail Polish in Lilac Haze - £1.99
This is my first experience of Collection polishes and its a pretty good one. The consistency of the polish is quite good, though a little runny, and the colour is beautiful for spring. I applied two coats in the picture above and I think it looks great. I've seen this on lots of colour palettes lately and I love it!
6) Foot Polisher - £1.59
An oldie but goody. I've been using these since my first introduction at the age of 7 when my mum had one off the Avon lady. They are super handy to keep in the shower as a reminder not to neglect your poor tired feet. If you do you will regret it when summer comes and your dry cracked heels are hanging out of your pretty backless sandals.
7) The cutest little waterproof floral design cosmetics bag evas!! - £2
I recommend this for the simple reason that I saw it in Boots and thought it was adorable....(it's also really good to hide behind as you can see from the above pic!! Haha!)It's available in a larger size for £3 and that's equally as lovely but I thought this one was a great size to fit in a nice spring/summer cross body or satchel bag. Plus it's waterproof so anything you put inside it is completely protected and vice versa!
So there you have it! You could own all of these yourself for less than £20 and they are all available from Boots....I mean how fab is that! I hope you like my spring picks and would love to hear from you with any other products you come across so just give me a shout.
I will be making an announcement shortly about the next step for Dreaming of Runway and I think you will all like it so stay tuned......that's a hint!!!!(-;
As always dreamers, thanks for reading
Love
